What are the SDGs?

17 goals to transform ourd world
On September 2015 the members of the United Nations approved the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. This Agenda contains 17 goals and 169 targets which seek to relief health, poverty, education, among other issues always taking into acount the environmental sustainability. For the successful achievement of the goals it is really important that economic growth, social inclusion and the protection of the environment work in a balance and integrated manner.

This objectives do not represent a legal obligation but seek that every country, no matter its income level, create favorable conditions to accomplish this goals. Due to the importance of the 17 goals and the 169 targets, is necessary to have quality information that allow the national and regional follow-up. With this in mind, the Centro de Datos – CEDE has organize municipal information for the follow-up of the some of the SDGs.
